Chatbot Terms and Conditions of Use

By accessing and using the chatbot provided by Relationships Are Forever Foundation (“the Foundation”) known as Happy Life, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, you are prohibited from using the chatbot. The chatbot is designed to assist users in applying the Happy Life Toolkit, which includes resources such as Friendship cards, On Our Journey, Connecting Colleagues, Couple Cards, First Years, and Therapy card.

  1. Acceptance of Terms

By registering for and using the chatbot, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions. You also agree to comply with the Foundation’s Website Terms and Conditions of Use and Privacy Policy, which are incorporated by reference into this document.

  1. Purpose of the Chatbot

The chatbot is intended to serve as a guide to help users apply the Happy Life Toolkit. It is not a substitute for professional advice, therapy, or assistance that would otherwise be provided by qualified professionals in the caring industry. The chatbot is designed to provide general guidance and should not be used as therapy or professional support.

  1. User Responsibilities
  • Limitations of Use: You acknowledge that the chatbot is not a substitute for professional advice or therapy. If you require professional assistance, you should consult a qualified professional.
  • Accuracy of Information: You agree to report any incorrect or misleading information provided by the chatbot to the Foundation. The Foundation is not responsible for any consequences arising from the misinterpretation or misuse of information provided by the chatbot.
  • Prohibited Uses: You may not use the chatbot for any illegal, harmful, or abusive purposes. You may not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise tamper with the chatbot’s software or underlying technology.
  • Prohibition of Harmful Content: Users are prohibited from inputting any harmful, abusive, or illegal content into the chatbot. The Foundation reserves the right to monitor and block any such content.
  1. Data Collection and Privacy
  • Personal Information: By registering for the chatbot, you agree to provide accurate and complete personal information, including but not limited to your name, email address, and phone number. This information will be stored on the Foundation’s CRM system for verification and validation purposes.
  • Chat Logs: All interactions with the chatbot will be logged for training, security, and analytical purposes. By using the chatbot, you consent to logging your chats and using these logs to improve the chatbot’s functionality.
  • User Consent for AI Training: Using the chatbot, you consent to the Foundation using your interactions to train and improve the chatbot’s AI algorithms. This may include the use of anonymized chat logs for machine learning purposes.
  • Data Retention Policy: The Foundation will retain chat logs and user data for 5 years  unless otherwise required by law. Users may request the deletion of their data by the Foundation’s Privacy Policy.
  • Privacy Policy: Your chatbot use is also governed by the Foundation’s Privacy Policy, which outlines how your personal information is collected, used, and protected.
  1. Disclaimer of Liability
  • No Warranty: The chatbot and the information provided by it are provided “as is” without any warranties, express or implied. The Foundation does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of the information provided by the chatbot.
  • No Guarantee of Accuracy: The Foundation does not guarantee the accuracy or reliability of the chatbot’s responses. Users should exercise their own judgment when applying any information provided by the chatbot.
  • Limitation of Liability: The Foundation shall not be liable for any damages, including but not limited to direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, arising from the use or inability to use the chatbot. This includes any damages resulting from the chatbot’s misinterpretation or misuse of information.
  • Third-Party Links: The chatbot may contain links to third-party websites or resources. The Foundation is not responsible for the content or accuracy of these external sites; your use of them is at your own risk.
  1. Intellectual Property
  • Ownership: All materials, including but not limited to the chatbot, the Happy Life Toolkit, and any related content, are the property of the Foundation and are protected by copyright and trademark laws.
  • License: You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the chatbot and the Happy Life Toolkit for personal, non-commercial purposes only. You may not modify, copy, distribute, or create derivative works based on the chatbot or the Toolkit without the Foundation’s prior written consent.
  1. Termination

The Foundation reserves the right to terminate or suspend your access to the chatbot at any time, without notice, for any reason, including but not limited to violations of these Terms and Conditions. Upon termination, you must cease all use of the chatbot and destroy any materials obtained from it.

  1. User Age Restrictions

The chatbot is not intended for use by individuals under 18. By using the chatbot, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old. If you are under 18, you must have parental consent to use the chatbot.

  1. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold the Foundation harmless from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from your use of the chatbot, including any misuse of the information provided by the chatbot.

  1. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malta, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from the use of the chatbot shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malta.

  1. Changes to Terms and Conditions

The Foundation reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting on the Foundation’s website. Your continued use of the chatbot after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms and Conditions.
