Well done to Amanda Bezzina and the team for the initiative and developing these resources to complement the Friendship Cards
These new resources will consist of set multi-sensory dice representing the Friendship Cards and felt finger puppets representing the characters in the Cards. The tools will be multi-sensory as they will be made up from different material, texture and shapes.
Through the dice, the practitioner can invite the students to take one dice and to choose a feeling that best represent them. The idea of the dice is to have a quick, more tangible representation of the Friendship Cards. In this way, children and young people can be more stimulated and interested in using them for emotional literacy and conflict management.
The tools can be used with all students but they are aimed particularly to students with special needs, including ADHD, ADD and Autism, or students who make an effort in addressing their emotions.
